The comedian recently announced he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. He shared his diagnosis on Instagram. “I’ve struggled my whole life,” he wrote. “With BPD it’s like having PTSD without war.”
He continued: “I’m scared shitless most days. I don’t know what I’ll do or say next. But here’s the thing… I’m working on myself every day. And I’ve learned that you just gotta keep pushing forward no matter how hard things seem. You’re never gonna feel good all the time. But the people around you will love you anyway.”
Early life
Peter Davidson was born on January 20, 1952, in New York City. He grew up in Manhattan and attended the prestigious Dalton School. In his youth he enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and swimming. At age 14, Pete Davidson began studying acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He graduated from high school in 1970 and enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University where he majored in English literature and drama. During college, Davidson became involved in theater productions at the Pittsburgh Playhouse Theater Company. After graduating in 1974, Davidson moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film.

Career
Pete Davidson early acting career began in 2012, when he landed his first role in the short film The Last Day of Summer. He later starred in the web series The Adventures of Puss ‘n Boots, which aired on Nickelodeon’s Nicktoons Network. In August 2013, it was announced that Davidson had been cast in the lead role of the ABC Family original movie The Perfectionists.
In October 2013, Pete Davidson joined the main cast of the NBC sitcom Community as Jeff Winger, a character based on creator Dan Harmon’s real life persona.
