Pitbull, alias Armando Christian Pérez, came into contact with the hip-hop variety Miami Bass early on through his native city of Miami, which aroused his interest in rap. In high school, he began to launch his career. He signed his first record deal in 2001, and a year later featured on a track on the Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz album Kings of Crunk . In addition, Pitbull’s song Oye was included on the 2003 soundtrack to the motion picture film 2 Fast 2 Furious .
