The path to the first title

In October 2012, Pimblett made his first professional fight for the local MMA organization Olympian MMA Championships (OMMAC). After a technical knockout in the first round, he defeated Nathan Thompson. In December 2012 and June 2013 he fought two more fights for OOMAC until he moved to Cage Warriors. He made his debut there in July 2013 with a win against Florian Calin.

Pimblett experienced the first setback of his young career in October 2013 when he had to give up against Cameron Else after just 35 seconds. However, he then started a winning streak: By April 2017, he had won nine fights in a row – including the title fight for the FCC Featherweight Championship in March 2015 against Kevin Petshi. However, he lost the title again in April 2017 against Nad Narimani. In September 2018, Pimblett fought against Søren Bak for the Cage Warriors Lightweight Championship, but was defeated by the Dane.
