From Hamburg to the USA

After not playing any games during his freshman year to concentrate solely on improving his athletic ability, he later became an associate captain of the Boston College Eagles and was named to the All-ACC Second Team during his senior year of college .
Best time in New Orleans
In May 2014, Edebali entered the NFL Draft but was not among the 256 players drafted by teams in the NFL. Nevertheless, a few days later he signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints . Due to his good performances in preparation for the 2014 season, he secured a place in the first team. In September 2014, he got the first two tackles of his NFL career against the Dallas Cowboys . In October 2014 followed against the Green Bay Packers the first two sacks. He had 22 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games all season. In 2015 it was 21 tackles and 5 sacks. He then signed on with the Detroit Lions , who let him go in December 2017. The contract with the Los Angeles Rams , which he signed in December 2017, was also terminated just a week later. The New Orleans Saints, his old club, accepted him instead, but also waived him in the summer of 2018. After all, thanks to the salaries, he was still able to build up a small fortune.
Return to Hamburg
Edebali made his last game in the NFL in the 2018 season for the Cincinnati Bengals , for whom he only played that one game. After short-term contracts with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders , he decided to return to Germany in March 2021.
