How to Become a Nike Product Tester?
Nike is known for being one of the most innovative brands in the world. They are constantly coming up with new ideas to improve their product lines. This includes testing out different materials, designs, and colors.
The Nike Product Testing Program gives people the opportunity to try out upcoming Nike products in their chosen sport. You must apply online and pass a background check before you can participate. Once approved, you will receive a package containing everything needed to complete the tests.
There are three types of tests you can take part in. Each type requires a specific amount of time and money. For example, the running shoes test costs $1,500 and takes about four weeks to complete. The cycling shoe test costs $2,200 and takes six months to finish. Finally, the apparel test costs $3,300 and lasts eight months.

What is Nike’s Product Testing Program?
Nike spends a lot of money creating and developing new products to release into the market. But what happens when you don’t know whether the product will sell well until it actually hits shelves? This is where Nike’s testing program comes in.
The company sends prototypes of upcoming products to people who volunteer to try them out. They’re given a chance to use and evaluate the prototype, and provide feedback on how they feel about the product. If they think it’s good enough, they’ll go ahead and buy it. If not, they won’t.
This process helps Nike avoid wasting resources and money on products that fail to meet customer expectations. And it gives the brand the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others.
How does Nike Product Testing Work?
Nike Product Testing is one way that the brand gets real customer feedback on its products. If you’ve ever wanted to try out a pair of sneakers, now might be the perfect opportunity. All you have to do is fill out a short survey and send it off to Nike. Once you receive your test shoes, you’ll be able to wear them around for 30 days. At the end of those 30 days, you’ll take the shoes back to Nike where you’ll be given a full refund or exchange depending on how you feel about the product.
Does Nike pay in cash?
If you’ve been looking forward to getting your hands on some brand-new Nike sneakers, then you might want to start thinking about what you’d like to test. After all, there are plenty of different models to choose from, including the Air Force 1, Dunk Low, and many others.
The good news is that you don’t have to spend much money to get your hands on some of these kicks. For example, you can register for Nike+ Running Club for $10 per month, or you can sign up for Nike Plus for just $20 per year. Both programs offer access to exclusive deals and discounts on select Nike products.
However, while both programs give you the chance to try out new items, neither one offers any sort of monetary reward. Instead, you’ll receive a pair of Nike sneakers once you complete the trial period. So, if you’re hoping to make some real money off of this deal, you’re better off signing up for another program. Who is eligible to participate?
Nike wants to make sure it doesn’t end up with a bunch of kids running around without parents. So the shoe giant is looking for people under 18 years old to test out its products. And while there are no age requirements for adults participating in sports like basketball, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, baseball, golf, softball, lacrosse and hockey, Nike says you must be over 16 to take part. “We want to ensure we’re testing our shoes with the appropriate demographic,” Nike spokesperson Mary Madden told Business Insider.
The company says it will use a combination of online surveys and interviews to determine whether someone is eligible to participate. If they qualify, they’ll receive a free pair of sneakers.
1. By Age
On Nike’s product testing page for shoes, there are three categories of people who test products: adults, teens, and kids. In each category, there are subcategories based on age. For example, adult men and women over 18 years old are separated out. There are no children listed, nor are there any teenagers. This is because Nike doesn’t want parents buying sneakers for their young athletes.
The reason why Nike does this is simple: it makes money. When you buy a pair of sneakers for $100, Nike takes about 30% off the price. But what happens if you don’t pay? If you’re under 18, Nike won’t sell you anything. So, Nike wants to make sure that only adults are purchasing sneakers.
This isn’t just true for sneaker companies; it’s true across the board. Most big brands do this. They’ll separate out different types of customers based on age. And the reason why they do this is pretty obvious.
2. By Location
Nike launched its product testing program in 2012. At the time, it was only available in six countries: the United States, Mexico, Japan, Italy, Canada and China. In 2017, the company expanded the program to include 36 additional markets including Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, UK and Vietnam.
3. By Body Measurements
Nike tests shoes on real people. They call it “The Real Thing.” And now, thanks to a recent job listing posted on LinkedIn, we know exactly what that means.
When you apply to become a tester, you’ll have to submit your height and weight, along with your body measurements. You’ll also have to provide photos of yourself wearing certain clothing, including shorts, shirts, socks, and sneakers.
If you’re worried about being too fat, don’t sweat it. Nike doesn’t care how much you weigh. In fact, the company hires testers of all body types. So even if you’re overweight, you might still get a chance to try out some of Nike’s latest footwear.
4. By Your Sports and Hobbies
The next step is to select what type of products you want to try out. You can choose one of four options: Apparel, Footwear, Both, or None. If you don’t know what types of products you’d like to test, you can skip this step and go straight into testing.
If you do decide to pick a category, you’ll see a list of subcategories that are based on the products you selected. There are three main ways to narrow down your selections:
1. Selecting a Category
2. Choosing a Subcategory
3. Narrowing Down by Product Type
For example, if you select “Apparel,” you’ll see a list that includes basketball, golf, men’s training, women’s training, running, sportswear (lifestyle/casual wear), tennis, and volleyball. From there, you can further filter those choices by selecting individual subcategories. For instance, if you select “Running,” you’ll see a dropdown menu that lets you choose among different surfaces, mileage levels, training paces, running gaits, and foot strikes.
Once you’ve narrowed down your selection, it’s time to start creating your product tester account.
How long does it take to become a Nike Product Tester?
Nike product testers are people who test out products and give feedback about what works and what doesn’t work. They do this under controlled conditions, usually in a lab setting. There are many different types of tests that Nike runs, including shoe fit, color, comfort, etc. You don’t necessarily have to wear the shoes yourself, but you must be able to provide detailed feedback.
The process varies depending on the type of test you want to participate in. For example, there are some tests where you simply fill out a survey online, while others require you to come into a lab and try on the shoes. Some tests are done in person, while others are performed over the phone or via email.
You might think that becoming a Nike tester sounds like a great job, but it takes a lot of patience and perseverance. If you’re interested in being part of the Nike team, here’s how the process goes.
1. Apply Online
First things first, you’ll need to apply online. To do this, head over to nike.com/testing and submit your information. Once you complete the form, you’ll receive an email letting you know whether or not you’ve been accepted.
2. Complete Your Application
Once you’ve been approved, you’ll go ahead and complete your application. This includes answering questions regarding your background and experience, as well as providing references.
What happens when I’m eligible to be a product tester?
Once you’ve been selected to participate in the Nike Product Testing Program, you’ll receive an email letting you know that you’re now part of the program. This usually takes place about seven to ten business days later. If you don’t see it immediately, check your spam folder.
You’ll also receive a survey asking some basic questions about yourself. These include things like how old you are, what gender you identify as, where you live, whether you have kids, and even what type of shoe size you wear.
The next step is to fill out a survey that asks about your personal history with Nike products. For instance, did you buy a pair of sneakers when you were younger? Did you ever try on a pair of shoes while shopping? Do you remember the brand name of the shoes you wore?
After filling out the survey, you’ll be asked to provide information about your physical activity habits. For example, do you exercise regularly? Are you a competitive athlete? Do you play sports?
Finally, you’ll be asked about your general health status. This includes questions such as “Do you have diabetes?”, “Have you had a heart attack?”, “How many hours per week do you spend watching TV?”, and “How often do you eat fast food?”.
If you pass each of these tests, you’ll be sent a package containing a pair of shoes or apparel. The package will arrive in the mail within seven to ten business days.
When you open the box, you’ll find a letter explaining everything you need to know about the test. There will also be instructions telling you how to use the shoes or apparel during the trial period.
The Bottom Line
I know this might be a little disappointing to some people, but it doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of ways to make money online without selling your soul. There are tons of legitimate opportunities out there where you don’t even have to spend your own money. You just have to do a little research and find what works best for you.
