Meanwhile, the episode in question, titled ‘Kwarantined Crab,’ was episode 21 of season twelve. Confused fans believed it was the episode which might have feature the death of Mr Krab.

But the network clarified that the episoed was removed due to its similarities with the real-life Covid-19 pandemics. “As we continue to monitor the situation closely, we felt it important to take this step to ensure the health and safety of our cast, crew and production partners,” the statement continued.

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment over the removal of the episode. Some even suggested that the episode could have helped spread awareness about the virus.
