He is now kicking the ball again himself – for his own club Delay Sports Berlin. Elias Nerlich’s estimated net worth is 9 million euros .

FIFA expert thanks to broken fibula
Elias Nerlich started playing football at the age of four and was active for various Berlin clubs in his youth. In the summer of 2015 he went to RSV Waltersdorf 09 and was used in the men’s team. In the sixth-tier Brandenburg League he played in 21 games in the 2015/2016 season and scored one goal. In September 2016 he broke his fibula and had to spend weeks in bed. Having already had a strong interest in video games, this passion intensified during his injury break. He specialized in the games in the FIFA series, got better and better and decided to try his hand at e-sports when FIFA 18 was released .
One of the best FIFA players in the world
In August 2017, Nerlich started the YouTube channel Eligella. From then on he published Let’s Plays and reaction videos there. In November 2017, he qualified for the FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona – as one of the best 128 FIFA players in the world. Apart from him, only three other participants in the top-class tournament did not have a professional contract as an e-athlete. That changed at the beginning of 2018 and Nerlich signed a contract with Hertha BSC. He made his debut for the club in March 2018 in the Virtual Bundesliga . He graduated from high school in June 2018.
Between the football field and the console
In collaboration with Hertha, Nerlich founded his second YouTube channel EliasN97 in July 2018. He further increased his wealth with the advertising income from this. In the meantime, he had returned to the football field after his broken fibula and two subsequent operations and in the summer of 2018 he joined SC Lankwitz, which is represented in the ninth-class district league A. But his bad luck with injuries stuck with him: his cruciate ligament tore in August 2018. He was able to demonstrate his skills on the console and won the Berlin eFootball Championship with Hertha BSC in August 2019 .
In April 2020, Nerlich began streaming on Twitch and built up one of the largest channels in German-speaking countries. He finally left Hertha BSC in August 2021. As a thank you for his services, the streamer was inducted into the club’s newly created eSports Hall of Fame. In the same month he organized his first own football tournament, the Real Life Eligella Cup .
Your own football club
Together with streamer and former professional footballer Sidney Friede, Nerlich founded the football club Delay Sports Berlin in November 2021 . This then became a member of the Berlin Football Association in May 2022. His men’s team received approval to take part in the eleventh-class district league C in the 2022/2023 season. Delay Sports caused a stir across Germany because the club quickly had more followers on Instagram than the Bundesliga clubs Hertha BSC and Union Berlin. Nerlich made his debut for his club in September 2022.
Also in September 2021, the second edition of the Real Life Eligella Cup took place in the Audi Dome in Munich . Various internet celebrities such as MontanaBlack and Trymacs also took part. 7,000 spectators were present on site and the games were also broadcast by RTL+.
