In September 2009 the title of British champion in the IKF association was added. In March 2011, Tate and Frenchman Jean-Luc Benoît fought for the ISKA World Light Heavyweight Championship. Violence against women
In January 2015, Tate was arrested after being sued by two women for rape and by another for repeated assault . Since the investigation dragged on for four years, the allegations were dropped in 2019. In June 2016, Tate took part in the British version of the TV show Big Brother . Meanwhile, producers became aware of a video showing Tate hitting a woman with a belt. He was then removed from the show after six days.
Banned from social media
Tate moved to Romania in 2017 and has since operated several casinos there. In August 2022, the website, which had more than 100,000 subscribers at the time, was closed because the responsible payment service distanced itself from the site. In August 2022, Tate was banned from Facebook and Instagram after Twitter also suspended his account . He lost around 4.7 million followers on Instagram. YouTube and TikTok also removed Tate’s channels. The reason given was violations of the platforms’ guidelines, for example in the form of hate speech and false information about COVID-19. In addition, Tate repeatedly attracted attention through misogynistic statements. Tate deleted his Twitch channel himself.
Arrest in Romania
In December 2022, Tate, his brother Tristan and two women were arrested at their home near Bucharest. They are accused of human trafficking, rape and organized crime . They are said to have forced women into prostitution and made porn films with them against their will. The police confiscated valuables such as cars and luxury watches as well as cash with a total value of more than 3.5 million euros.
