How rich is Andrea Berg?
Schlager and Andrea Berg simply belong together. The singer can look forward to a large fan base. Andrea Berg’s estimated net worth is €30 million . Together with her competitor Helene Fischer, she leads the German Schlager, both of them can inspire Schlager fans side by side. The pop singer has already sold over 14 million records and over 4.3 million people have attended her concerts.
But the German cannot only look forward to positive reports. The hit lady has made negative headlines in recent months and years, especially with her burning dress and a pyro show that went haywire and injured a fan. The fan received just 1,127.50 euros as compensation. This, in turn, did not taste good to many of the singer’s followers.
Andrea Berg: With hits to millions of assets
Even the Beatles could learn a lesson from Andrea Berg’s successes. After all, the singer in Germany was even able to break some of the successes of the cult band. Andrea Berg was once nothing more than the average German woman who used to work as a nurse. Even after the hit icon has long since celebrated its 20th stage anniversary, there is still no end to its success in sight. With her Best-Of-CD she was in the German charts for 346 weeks. Nobody can do that for her! From the crown of folk music to the Echo and Bambi, the singer has won the most important awards in the music and pop business several times. Also with the pop titan Dieter Bohlen there have been collaborations. The album Schwerelos, released in 2010, was produced by Dieter. More joint albums followed, half of Atlantis contained compositions by Dieter Bohlen. After that, the two ended their collaboration for the time being. Still, both made fortunes with the success.
The fans love the pop singer
The popularity of Andrea Berg is probably also due to the fact that she seems so wonderfully normal and approachable. She’s a star, but somehow also down to earth. Her lyrics are not too demanding and take up many everyday topics. The fans like that because they can sing along to the songs so wonderfully. In the German entertainment landscape, the slim Andrea with her typical red hair is clearly one of the big earners. Although she weighs just 57 kilograms at a height of 168 centimeters, nobody can fool the singer so quickly.
She has also chosen a clever strategy when it comes to selling her concert tickets. The prices can be described as moderate, so that most Germans can finally afford to see their star live and in color. And they come in droves and flush enormous sums into Andrea Berg’s coffers despite the not too high ticket prices, whose husband, Ulrich Ferber, as a hotelier and sports manager, should also be a good match. The singer has also been able to accumulate her impressive fortune because she maintains a down-to-earth rather than extravagant lifestyle. For example, she regularly vacations in Velden am Wörthersee, Austria. With such an income, one might think that she would afford luxurious trips to faraway places in the world, but no – the Schlagerqueen vacations down to earth in Austria.
Andrea Berg’s greatest successes
In both Germany and Austria, Andrea Berg holds the record as a long-running chart hit with her best-of album . She was in these two countries for the first time in 1992 with an LP in the charts. However, it would take a while before she was able to land her first number 1 with a studio album. She did that in 2003 with “Machtlos”. Since then, none of Andrea Berg’s subsequent albums has not reached number 1 in the charts, both in Germany and in Austria. Only the Swiss apparently needed a little longer to warm up to Andrea. Here she was only able to land her first number 1 in 2013 with the album “Atlantis”.
The singer, at the peak of her success and fame, was also very happy about the award of the “10x platinum millennium record” for her best-of album. For her best of album she achieved 15 gold awards, earning her 2,000,000 million euros. In the last 16 years she has made a fortune from her albums alone.
Burning dress at the concert tour
The incident with the burning dress happened in the summer of 2014 at an open-air concert. A 64-year-old named Brian Hicks was hit by a piece of hot ash– unfortunately in his eye, to his misfortune. At first it looked as if the fan could have “looked forward” to a compensation of 2,000 euros. But then everything turned out differently. The case went to the second instance after Andrea Berg Tourne und Promotion GmbH appealed the judges’ initial decision. The whole thing ended in such a way that the fan was promised the said 1,127.50 euros, although he had to bear his legal fees and half of the court costs. The man from Great Britain, who is based in Düsseldorf, is unlikely to have seen anything of the compensation. He didn’t have legal expenses insurance.
Even the free ticket, which the fan was offered as additional compensation , leaves no more than a stale aftertaste. Andrea Berg should have understood the fan. After all, she was even injured herself in a later fire accident on stage. The singer probably wants to have her scars from the accident covered with a fire dragon as a tattoo. However, since the incident happened a few years after the Brian Hicks incident, it didn’t do the fan any good financially.
